Bethany M. Rommel, M.D.
Dr. Rommel earned an Honors Bachelor of Science from University of Toronto in 2008, Master of Biomedical Sciences in 2010 from Drexel University, and her medical degree in 2014 from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Rommel completed her internship at Abington Memorial Hospital in 2015 and ophthalmology residency at West Virginia University Eye Institute in 2018.
Dr. Rommel joined Ludwick Eye Center in September 2018. She is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interest in cataract surgery and glaucoma care services. Her passion for ophthalmology stems from the love of a tiny organ that has such a large impact on the quality of life.
Dr. Rommel has always prioritized giving back to her community through volunteering at clinics for women and children as well as vision clinics and screenings throughout medical school and residency.
Dr. Rommel lives with her wonderful family including her husband, son, and dog who all enjoy hiking and kayaking together.
