Scott Piette, D.O.
Dr. Piette earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000. After graduating, he completed a research fellowship in glaucoma with world famous glaucoma physician, Dr. Robert Ritch, at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York, NY where he authored and co-authored over 21 articles and research papers. Dr. Piette went on to complete his residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. Upon completion, he accomplished a clinical fellowship in glaucoma under Dr. Wallace Alward at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Piette began providing eye care in 2007 and recently joined Ludwick Eye Center in 2016. He specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery and has been a presenter at numerous resident training programs and educational seminars.
Prior to pursuing his true passion of medicine and ultimate goal of being an ophthalmologist, Dr. Piette spent time working as a Criminalist with the Phoenix Police Department Crime Lab and volunteered at local food banks and homeless shelters in Arizona.
Dr. Piette is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, Ruza, and two children, Niko and Angelina, grilling on the barbeque, vacationing at Disney World to ride the seven dwarfs mine train, hiking, and biking.
