Our team of ophthalmic assistants is comprised of compassionate and highly motivated individuals who perform specific exam components such as: medical and surgical history review and documentation, medication and allergy review and documentation, obtain and document reason for present visit, visual acuity assessment, ocular pressure, refraction, and other diagnostic tests all to prepare our patients for the doctors examination. All technical components of this job are trained in office. We are in search of a caring, team player who desires to learn in our fast-paced ophthalmic clinic. As we stay on the cutting edge of surgical and clinical innovation, we need a team player who values the importance of ongoing education so that we can provide every patient the best treatment and outcome possible. Being an ophthalmic assistant is a rewarding career that primarily works with the senior population. A full time position consists of 40 hours a week with rotating hours. A normal 8 hour day would be 7:00/7:30 am to 4:00/4:30 pm. This position rotates between all of our offices. Flexibility with hours and location is a must. Occasional Saturday hours.
