I’m so glad that I chose Ludwick Eye Center.
“I had a posterior vitreous detachment in both eyes – the first happened in October 2015, the second happened in November 2016. Because of this I had to have a vitrectomy on both eyes. It was explained that after having a vitrectomy, the surgery could progress the formation of the cataract. I thought this would take a year or two but it happened within weeks.
When I called Ludwick Eye Center for an appointment to evaluate the cataracts, the receptionist on the phone was incredible – she listened to me, was very caring, and asked great questions. At my appointment everyone was incredibly compassionate and professional. The surgical coordinator was extremely helpful, she listened to me when I expressed my concerns and was very patient with me. Since it would have been my third eye surgery, Dr. Weigel gave me the best advice. He explained because of the previous surgeries on my eyes that I wouldn’t benefit from the multifocal lens. You could tell that it wasn’t about money for him and I am so appreciative of that. I felt they listened to what I had to say and they recommended what was best for me. I can’t say enough about everyone. I felt safe and secure, I felt they were going to do a good job for me.
The surgical staff was incredibly compassionate. I truly was extremely grateful for everything they had done for me. How life changing it was to go from what I saw when I walked in the door to what I could see afterwards and the joy of being able to see the leaves on the trees when I wake up in the morning. That is tremendous. I’m very grateful for that and how I was treated and handled. It didn’t matter who I spoke to in the practice or what they were doing for me. There wasn’t a sour face, there wasn’t an impatient gesture. To be treated so very kindly, it did affect me very much. I’m so glad that I chose Ludwick Eye Center.”
