Measuring Your Eye Pressure at Home – Understanding Your Glaucoma
The Icare HOME Tonometer is now available at Ludwick Eye Center for patients with glaucoma as a new way to measure their eye pressure any time at home. This is one of the first methods of home tonometry (measuring of eye pressure at home) available for patients. The Icare HOME Tonometer is easy to use, quick, and accurate. By taking additional eye pressure measurements at home, we are able to identify eye pressure variations and therefore find the best way to manage your glaucoma.
The HOME Tonometer measures your eye pressure using a disposable probe that gently contacts your eye during the measurement. It is painless and does not require eye drops or an air puff. To learn more about the Icare HOME Tonometer or glaucoma, please contact our office by using our online form or by calling one of our offices in Hagerstown, Chambersburg, or Waynesboro.
