Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery
How Long Does Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery Take?
With pre-operative and post-operative care, you should plan to be at our center for two to three hours on the day of surgery. The laser portion takes less than a minute to perform, but total surgery time should take 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the complexity of the procedure.
Will Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery be Covered by Insurance?
Using the laser with cataract surgery is considered as a “premium enhancement” and is not covered by Medicare and other insurances. Your out of pocket fee will vary based on your insurance plan. We offer flexible financing plans with approved credit, such as Wells Fargo or CareCredit, to make your choice easier and more affordable.
