Orbital Fracture
The orbit is the bone cavity that protects and houses the eye. If trauma occurs, the orbit can be fractured. Symptoms of an orbital fracture commonly include pain, swelling, bruising, and sometimes double vision or numbness of face.
Not all fractures need repair.
However, if surgery is required this is usually done as an outpatient surgery and patients can go home afterwards. Treatment for the orbital fracture will vary based on your exam and orbital CT scan findings.
